With our years of experience, SiteCenter were sub-contracted to integrate Howsafe's Adobe Commerce store with their back office and point of sale systems via the "KC Smartlink" from Kamarin Computers. This involved meeting with the customer to understand their specific requirements before setting up and customising code. The result was the seamless transfer of orders from their ecommerce store into their back office systems and the automatic updating of ecommerce store inventory, order statuses and product data when offline data is updated. Since this store offers trade accounts, the project also involved the setup and data transfer of customer-specific prices.

As part of our work for Howsafe, we were tasked with creating custom logic that displays trade-only shipping options at checkout only to trade customers, and a free delivery option only to trade customers with a postcode within 25 miles of the store. We also selected, installed and configured a plugin for sending SMTP-authenticated emails from the website, as well as enhanced the user experience by using colour-swatches and size boxes on product pages instead of drop-down lists.
We were approached to enhance the checkout process on Howsafe's ecommerce store so that users would only need to start typing and select their address match, rather than typing out all of their address fields. This was accomplished by researching third-party services, integrating their API and making appropriate front-end layout changes. The result was a more seamless checkout process that undoubtedly improved conversion rates.
